Caskets & Urns
You are NOT REQUIRED to buy from any funeral home
The FTC's Funeral Rule, governing funeral homes, plainly states: The funeral provider cannot refuse to handle a casket or urn you bought online, at a local casket store, or somewhere else — or charge you a fee to do it. The funeral home cannot require you to be there when the casket or urn is delivered to them. HOWEVER, we have heard cases where the funeral home claimed the product arrived damaged.
You can buy caskets or urns from ANY source
No cemetery that we have found, including those for VETERANS, requires you to buy from a specific source. However, some may have dimensional requirements for specific plots.

BEWARE of sources that do not provide pricing on their website. BEWARE of any claim to keep your casket "in storage" for no extra fee (unless it is a VERY short term arrangement). Storage is real estate, which is not likely free.
